VISMA SPECS

This project involved the redesign of Visma's central platform for managing user rights, roles, and service access, aimed at improving usability and efficiency. The redesign focused on streamlining tasks such as purchasing licenses, modifying employee access, and enabling smoother collaboration with accounting firms.

Overview and Responsibility

In this project, I was responsible for the redesign of the central platform used to manage user rights and roles for Visma services. The platform enables tasks such as purchasing licenses, adding or removing employees, modifying user access, and facilitating collaboration with accounting firms. As a UX Designer, I played a key role in shaping the user experience to align with business needs and enhance service usability.

Design process

The design process began with brainstorming sessions, workshops, and idea generation in collaboration with other designers. This was followed by independent work, where I utilized tools such as pen and paper and wireframes to visualize the user flow and structure of the platform. Throughout the project, I worked to optimize the design based on feedback from stakeholders and continuous user testing, ensuring that the solutions would work effectively within the technical and business constraints.

Expression

The redesign required a deep understanding of business logic and system interactions. A substantial amount of investigation was conducted to understand how different Visma services communicate with each other and function in practice. Through iterative design and creative problem-solving, significant improvements were made, such as enhancing the license management system, which had a direct impact on the user experience.

UI design

The UI design was centered on making the complex tasks of managing roles and permissions intuitive for users. This involved wireframing and continuous iterations based on usability tests to ensure a streamlined interface that reduces cognitive load and improves efficiency for users across various regions, including Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Finland.

Summary

This project involved a comprehensive redesign of the Visma platform to better support users in managing licenses, employee access, and collaboration with accounting firms. As a UX Designer, I contributed to all phases of the design process, from initial brainstorming to final usability testing. Through a mix of collaborative and independent work, significant improvements were made to both the user experience and the technical system interactions, ultimately enhancing the platform’s overall usability and efficiency.
